Lendi Garden / Baug

Lendi Baug : This Baug - meaning a garden is where Sai Baba used to come to water plants every day and rest under a neem tree. Devotees believe that Sai Baba had dug a pit of 2 feet depth and had placed an earthen lamp in the pit. Today, a marble enclosure with a lamp inside remains lit at all times, in memory of many episodes of Sai and his followers. At the entrance of this park are Samadhis of Baba’s devotees - Abdul Baba, Tatya Kote Patil, Bhau Maharaj Kumbhar and Nanavalli. On a visit here, tourists can also visit Gurusthan which is one of the many other places to visit in Shirdi and is closely located. Location: Mauli Nagar. Timings: 4 am to 11 pm.

Lendi Baug is the Garden which is located inside the main temple towards main gate and adjacent to Highway. This is the Garden which was maintained by Sai Baba during those days, hence this become highly sacred and spiritual visiting place. Baba used to come here every morning and afternoon and rest under a Neem tree. Baba used to spend a lot of his time here watering the plants daily in the morning and Evenings. Attractions inside Lendi Baug: 1. Nanda Deep: This place contains the continuous lamp lit by Baba and placed between the two trees (Neem and Bodhi trees) he planted. Baba instructed Abdul Baba later the responsibility to see that the lamp keeps on burning. Till today its burning. 2. Datta Mandir: Datta Mandir is located a few feet away from Nanda Deep which is constructed below an Audumbar tree. Statue of Datta was installed in the Mandir on 6th December, 1976. 3. The Well: The well is given a nick name "Bukhi" by Baba which is beyond Nanda Deep. This Well was dug by Baba himself with the help of some devotees and he used to drink this well water in routine.
